Today we held
the third classroom session of our Leadership Training course for coaches and
volunteers from youth football academies around Kumba. Our topic was “the
qualities of a good leader/coach.” Cameroonians say they learn best “by doing” so we try
to have discussions and activities, rather than lectures, form the
basis of our classroom sessions. We used the following questions as a forum for
discussion:
- What are the qualities of a good leader?
- Which of these qualities do you lack?
- How can CFDP help you improve upon your weaknesses?
Overall, things went
well.
