Finally, the day we have been working for over the past two
months is here. Today, CFDP’s 2013-14 U-16 Football League for Youth
Development kicked off at GPS (Government Primary School) Field, Kumba Town,
with an opening ceremony and match between Olympic Fruiting Sport Academy and
Kanjas Football Club. It was exciting to finally see our product put in place.
For 30 minutes before the match, coaches from each team implemented a “CFDP
session,” consisting of ice-breakers, educational football drills, and group
discussions about the life skill theme of the match, which today was teamwork.
Afterwards, they played a match, which ended in a 2-2 draw. Check out my
