Bobolo is made
of fermented cassava, the same plant from which garri, fufu, and a number of
Cameroon’s most basic foods are made. Bobolo is sometimes served wrapped in
leaves, as you see here. Bobolo is normally served alongside a variety of
foods, such as roasted fish, okoro soup, ndolé. Here, it has been prepared with
ndolé.
The Cameroon Football Development Program (CFDP) (www.cameroonfdp.org) is a non-profit organization based jointly in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Kumba, Cameroon, that uses the world's beautiful game as a vehicle for youth education in underserved areas of Cameroon. Our 2013-14 Youth Enrichment Football League is a competition that combines life skills education with football (soccer) matches for more than 150 young boys from eight youth clubs around Kumba, Cameroon.
